clothing

Clothing should remain simple & the color should compliment your skin tone. Often patterned clothing does not work well for timeless portraits. Thin tank straps for women tend to be less flattering than covering the shoulders with a nice shirt. Long sleeves are best, but in the summer heat we won’t torture you if you choose to be ‘cool’. Depending on your look, pants or jeans should be free of rips or tears. For family/group portraits, please no more than two different (but complimentary) colors for clothing.

high school seniors!

This is YOUR time to shine. This session is all about showing YOU off. It is best to organize your outfits prior to beginning the session. This will cause less down time between shots and keep it as smooth as possible. Ladies – please keep make-up as you do every day. It is best to not chemically alter your hair the week of your session and a clean manicure is always nice. Guys – a fresh haircut a day or two prior to the session is always nice. Having a cleanly shaven face and clean manicure is also really nice. We all know that acne tends to show at just the right time, right? Well, no worries! Please don’t fret about acne or braces. Enjoy your session – I’ll take care of the rest. Retouching is included in your package price.

children

Children do not always care to have their pictures taken – I can relate to that! Let’s help them out and make sure they have had a nap and a snack prior to the session time. Snacks during sessions tend to be messy and sometimes even cause a little drool! I try to keep my mouth from watering, but just can’t help it! We all love to look good, be relaxed and have a great smile in our portraits. So we’ll do just that. Please feel free to express any ideas or concerns you may have. I want you as relaxed as possible and for the whole process to be about you, your family and very pleasant. If there is something special I should know in advance to help make your session go more smoothly, please disclose that information at the time of booking.
